What is permanent makeup

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic procedure that provides a long-lasting, polished look by applying pigment into the skin’s upper layers using fine needles.

It’s ideal for those who want to save time on daily beauty routines while maintaining a flawless appearance. Commonly used on lips, eyes, and eyebrows, it enhances shape and color, mimicking natural makeup.

It is popular for its painless application, ability to correct asymmetry, and absence of scars, providing a durable and natural look that can last for years.

home-what-is

Permanent makeup is popular among all ages for creating a well-groomed appearance. It enhances several facial areas:

Lips
Adds fullness and vibrancy. A local anesthetic is applied, followed by outlining and shading with pigment.
Eyebrows
Techniques like powder fill, shading, and hair strokes are used to create natural-looking brows. Hairstroke Technique is ideal for women, men, and children with sparse or no eyebrows.
Eyes
Typically used to create an eyeliner effect along the lash line, filling gaps for more fullness or a "shadow effect." I don’t practice permanent makeup for the under-eye area as it looks unnatural over time and would require removal. I also avoid long eyeliner strokes because, as the face ages and changes, the liner can shift, leading to an unflattering look.

All correction work starts with a free consultation to determine the best approach, and any additional costs will be discussed after evaluating your needs. I’m here to help you achieve the perfect look!

      Skin Patch Test
A skin patch test is available upon request to ensure the safety and comfort of the procedure.
      03
      Sketch Drawing
I will help you choose the perfect shape that suits you best and create a sketch. You are welcome to share your preferences and suggest changes during the process until the sketch fully meets your expectations.
      04
      Preparation
I prepare the tools and select the appropriate pigment for your skin. I only use sterile, single-use materials to ensure safety. The high-quality  pigments are chosen based on your individual skin characteristics to provide the best results.
      05
      Anesthesia
To minimize discomfort, I apply numbing agents before the procedure. If you have any allergies to anesthetics, it's important to inform me in advance to ensure your safety and comfort throughout the process.
      06
      Pigment Application
You can comfortably lie back and relax on the couch while I carefully apply the pigment. The process is done with precision to ensure the best results.
      07
      Healing and Aftercare
Following the recommended aftercare instructions during the healing period will help speed up tissue recovery and ensure the best results. I will provide you with specific tips and guidance right after the procedure to support the healing process and maintain the quality of the permanent makeup.
      08
      Touch up
The correction is done after full skin healing, typically about 4 weeks after the initial procedure. This is the optimal time to adjust tones and enhance the color. I don’t recommend going for a bright permanent look right away, as it's better to add brightness during the correction session. The first procedure is like a test to see how the pigment settles. The second session is key to achieving the perfect look. Adding color later ensures a natural result, preventing overly bright or artificial-looking brows.
      09
      Refresh
A refresh helps maintain the selected pigment shade and extend the life of your permanent makeup. It revitalizes and enhances the pigment’s brightness. After the third refresh, I recommend my clients go through a pigment lightening process before applying a new layer. This ensures the best long-term results and keeps the permanent makeup looking quality, fresh and natural over time.
      Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the effect last? cancel

The result typically lasts up to 18 months, depending on your body. The pigment fades slowly and evenly, so you’ll still see the effect. However, most clients prefer to renew the procedure as it fades.

Do I need to prepare? cancel

Avoid strong tea, coffee, and alcohol before the procedure. If you’re taking blood thinners, discontinue them with your doctor’s approval. This is the basic preparation, and I’ll provide minor recommendations during your consultation.

      Is it painful? cancel

No injections are used, only numbing cream. You’ll feel just mild tingling during the procedure.

How do I choose the shape and type of makeup? cancel

I will assist you in selecting a natural shape and color that best fits your preferences and facial structure.

How do I cover up old permanent makeup? cancel

Come in for a free consultation to determine whether your old permanent makeup can be covered or if it needs to be removed first.

      Are there any contraindications? cancel

Yes, conditions such as active herpes, cancer (except in remission), pregnancy, skin damage in the area of permanent makeup, epilepsy, or a tendency for keloid scars may prevent you from having the procedure. This is the basic preparation, and I’ll provide minor recommendations during your consultation.

How long does the procedure take? cancel

The procedure itself takes about an hour, with additional time for sketching and selecting the right pigment. If the “hairstroke” technique is included, the total process may take 1.5 to 3 hours.

      What aftercare is required? cancel

After the procedure, avoid smoking, alcohol, and wetting the area for 24 hours. Stay away from pools, saunas, the gym, and sun exposure for two weeks. Also, refrain from applying makeup until the area has fully healed.

How long does permanent makeup take to heal? cancel

It typically heals in about seven days, with small scabs forming and gradually falling off. Full skin regeneration of the upper epidermis takes 28-30 days. Avoid picking the scabs to prevent gaps in the pigment.

      Frequently Asked Questions
Top 5 Myths About Permanent Makeup
      1 Permanent Makeup Lasts Forever:

This is a myth. Our skin is a living structure with the ability to regenerate. Over time, pigment particles are naturally expelled through the lymphatic system, causing the permanent makeup to gradually fade. A refresh session can help restore its appearance.

2 The Pigment Used in Permanent Makeup Causes Allergies:

High-quality pigments are 100% non-toxic and hypoallergenic. For clients prone to allergies, a sensitivity test is performed. If there is no redness or itching, the procedure can be safely done. It’s also important to check for any allergies to anesthetics.

3 Eyebrows Stop Growing After Permanent Makeup:

To stop hair growth, the hair follicle must be destroyed, which doesn’t happen with permanent makeup. The pigment is applied to the basal layer of the skin, while hair follicles are located in the dermis. In fact, in some cases, clients have reported new hair growth in previously sparse areas after permanent makeup.

      4 Permanent Makeup is Painful:

This is completely false. The pigment is inserted into the superficial layers of the skin, where there are no blood vessels. Additionally, numbing agents are used to minimize discomfort, so there’s no reason to worry about pain.

Top 5 Myths About Permanent Makeup
5 You Won’t Be Able to Go Out in Public After the Procedure:

Swelling and other side effects are minimal and usually not noticeable. Even immediately after the procedure, permanent makeup looks like professionally applied makeup. The only potential inconvenience is the formation of small scabs, but these can be easily concealed with makeup and heal quickly.
